Kantara
Kantara is situated at the southern end of the island. There are the ruins of the ancient city Meninx. Visitors can see the remains of a Christian basilica. But it is especially the Roman road with a length of 6 km that connects the island to the mainland that is worth seeing.
Eriadh
The village of Eriadh, 9 km from Houmt-Souk, houses the jewish synagogue. This synagogue was built in 1920 in the same place of the oldest synagogue in Africa. You can admire a magnificent oriental decor with glazed earthenware tiles, stained glass and beautiful wood carvings. Every year in mid-May, the synagogue became the rallying point of Jews worldwide.
Guellala
Guellala was once a very productive city's pottery. At the time, there were more than 400 potters, now they are no more than a handful. The pottery made Guellala craft are necessarily very different from those you will find in Nabeul. Go take a look at the city museum, where you will learn about the culture and Tunisian traditions.
Houmt_Souk
North of the island, Houmt Souk. This is almost the only "real" city of Djerba which it is the administrative center. Walk through its streets lined with whitewashed houses brightened by plants and shops with colorful products. The souk in the heart of the city, is particularly lively. Houmt Souk is a nice town, but beware, the beach is 10 km: you should take the bus or a taxi to get there.
Hope you visit the gorgeous Djerba.
